About Me

I'm drawn to technical problems at the scale where distributed systems matter, with a higher focus on those that need multiple sessions to go anywhere.

The work that has held my attention the longest sits at the edges of things, like when a clean abstraction meets an incongruous system that has to run it. My university years have come about similarly. I've experimented widely, holding down full-time roles alongside coursework and personal pursuits.

Somewhere in that overlap of pressure, curiosity, and expectations, I recognized the kind of life I wanted. Aside from these things, I really like the piano, classical music, literature, and learning languages. I want to become fluent in Mandarin in the coming years.
